My name is Alexey Lebedev, and I'm an industrial designer, engineer, and specialist in shipbuilding, auto tuning, cycling, yachting, and architecture. I began my career in 1994, and have been familiar with maritime affairs and yachts since the age of six, beginning my competitive sailing career, which evolved into a professional career in yacht construction and design.
Over the years, I've gone from sketching yachts in school to designing complex projects, mastering and studying modern composite technologies, and creating products "from the computer to the finished product." In brief, my experience over the past few years:
design, engineering, and implementation of yacht and boat interiors and exteriors
design, engineering, and implementation of large-scale shipbuilding projects, from special-purpose boats to tankers and bulk carriers
design, engineering, and implementation of modular swimming pools
design, engineering, and implementation of car tuning and customization
design, engineering, and implementation of premium interiors for apartments, country houses, and cottages
design and implementation of sports equipment (bicycles, snowboards, etc.)
design and implementation of musical instrument cases
design and engineering of various mechanisms for yachts and special-purpose vessels, such as electric water jets, gas turbine units for water jets and CPVs, conveyor systems for assembly lines, etc.
and dozens of other projects where a balance of aesthetics, strength, and manufacturability is important
I have a deep understanding of all the main composite technologies: contact molding → vacuum infusion → RTM → Light RTM → autoclave molding (glass, carbon, aramid, and hybrid materials).
I especially enjoy projects that combine expertise from different worlds: shipbuilding + automotive design + aircraft composites + interior aesthetics. This experience yields interesting results when combining and integrating resources from different fields, offering greater scope for creativity and the creation of innovative products.
